We are now accepting applications for Landscape Crew Members in Galena, OH for the 2020 season!

Summary:

Responsible for performing quality landscape services for our customers in a safe and efficient manner. Position reports directly to crew leader.

Essential Job Functions:

• Report at designated start time to review schedule/route
• Mow grass using commercial mowing equipment
• Edge curbs and walks using a weedeater
• Cleanup of property using a backpack blower
• Bed and pavement weed control
• Pruning of shrubs and trees
• Soil preparation for flower and plant installation
• Installation of flowers, trees and shrubs
• Cleanup of beds during spring operations
• Edge beds using a Little Wonder Bed Shaper
• Apply mulch to landscape beds
• Fall cleanup of leaves, perennials and debris
• Load/Unload equipment onto trucks and trailers
• Secure equipment for transport to properties
• Clean trucks & equipment
• General equipment maintenance

Requirements:

• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Walk for long periods of time
• Stand, bend & squat for up to 10 or more hours per day
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as required
• Carry a 20-lb. backpack blower on your back
• Use companies mobile time entry software

Technical Skills:

• Use various tools and equipment such as lawn mowers, backpack blowers, string trimmers, pruners, handsaws, rakes, pitch forks, shovels, etc
